Sandra Mansour x H&M, the collection...
This capsule collection, named "sunflowers" in homage to her love of sunflowers, is a true ode to nature that showcases the know-how of the designer who is passionate about art and dreamy aesthetics. Floral patterns, embroidered voile blouses, lace dresses, jacquards, suit blazers and skirts.
Sandra has been deeply inspired by the beauty of nature and women, but also by the work of women artists such as Toyen and Dorothea Tanning who are exceptional expressionists, to give life to fluid and luminous pieces.
"I want to speak to women around the world with a message of hope, something we really need right now," says the designer, in an interview.
Sandra Mansour, an ambitious woman!
Passionate about drawing and fashion since the age of six, Sandra Mansour studied art. Once she graduated, the young woman realised that drawing and creating clothes were not inseparable. Back in Beirut, after an internship in Paris with Élie Saab, she decided to found her own eponymous brand, mainly creating dresses. Her car became her first workshop and word of mouth spread. It was then that fashion designer Sandra Mansour obtained a kafalat loan for small businesses which allowed her to finally set up her own house in 2010.
Sandra Mansour and H&M's 'Flowers of the Sun' collection will be available from 27 August 2020 in selected H&M shops worldwide and online.
